Just off of the piazza is a grand dining room with charming garden patio that comes to life summer evenings as locals and visitors looking for a lively dinner scene arrive to Villa Verde. Surrounding the main dining room are a series of terraces alive in blossoming rosemary and bougainvillea leads to the main dining room with its triple atrium ceiling and white color palette that include a series of more private alcoves and tables covered in dramatic swags of drapery. By 11pm the dining room and adjacent bar become more of a lounge venue with DJs and bottle service during July and August as yachters flaunt their magnum of Dom and locals watch with awes and gasps.
The Food
A coastal Italian menu with variations of Mediterranean cooking begins with classic Caprese salads with lackluster mozzarella, better Greek salad and selection of carpaccio, crudo and tartares that are menu standouts. Pasta course includes squid ink, sea urchin and vongole presentations as well as truffle risotto and stuffed ravioli with butter sage sauce. Main course mixes grilled meats with seasonal vegetables, lamb and fresh seafood with delicate tomato and pesto pairings.
